A: Since 1963 the Booster Club, a parent/community facilitated 501 (C)(3) non profit organization, has played an active role in enhancing the overall quality of athletics at Avon High School. Our purpose is to provide our student athletes with additional funds and opportunities so that they can excel and represent Avon High School in a positive manner. The Club has enabled the purchase of equipment for sports teams and sponsored social events to encourage interaction between Boosters, players, parents, and coaches.
A: The district only provides enough money to pay for coaches, referees, transportation, and some supplies, such as medical equipment and balls. Big-ticket items such as uniforms and practice gear can only be partially funded through district funds.
