The Committee to Improve the Avon High School Athletic Facility is proud to announce another important addition to the Avon community. The “Falcon Facility Campaign” includes a new scoreboard and a new press box. The response from the Avon community has been extremely positive! This exciting project has been approved by the Board of Education. The new scoreboard has been selected and will replace 26-year-old equipment, which is not reliable. The old press box was torn down 4+ years ago and we are in the process of determining the best/most economical approach to replace it.
We’re hoping you will consider making a family donation and be one of the many proud supporters of this campaign. Please consider making a Holiday tax-deductible contribution!
Our fundamental mission is to provide a scoreboard that works consistently and offer a press box that is accessible, durable and ADA compliant so that all students may utilize this resource. These improvements/items will cost approximately $100,000.00. The Committee to Improve the AHS Athletic Facility is raising money now, and is hoping to have the equipment fully funded by the 2010-2011 school year with construction to begin as soon as possible!
Hoffman Auto Group has graciously offered a $10,000.00 Holiday challenge pledge – we just need to match that amount by December 31st to receive the funds to be put toward the first phase of our project – the scoreboard! A $100 donation will become $200, a $1,000.00 donation will become $2,000.00 and so on. Come join the Holiday Spirit and donate to this worthy campaign.
